The Client
The client, subsidiary of a Mumbai-based Business Group, is one of the oldest IT Consulting and Services companies in India. It offers a wide range of software solutions such as Application Development and Maintenance, Independent Validation, Enterprise Applications, Product Management, Embedded Systems and Enterprise Architecture Consulting. The company's focus verticals include BFSI, Telecom, Manufacturing and ISVs. The company has successfully executed IT engagements for global corporations including Fortune 500 companies in over 58 countries. Complementing its domain expertise with stringent focus on quality, the company strives to provide consistent high quality delivery - it is currently assessed at SEI-CMMi Level 5 and PCMM Level 5 besides being an ISO 9001:2000 certified organization.
Business Context
The company's marketing initiatives were traditionally channeled through the Corporate Communications team of it Group. As this team handled communication activities across all the group companies, it did not have enough bandwidth to offer dedicated attention to the company's website, which had failed to keep pace with the company's progress in recent years.
As a result, re-vamp of the website to reflect the work and updated capabilities of the company became a key priority for the company's management. They were also looking to leverage the site for lead generation as well as recruitment, two business priorities that accentuated the urgency of an immediate re-vamp. After evaluating multiple vendors, the company eventually awarded a website and content re-vamp contract to Prayag with a brief to execute the re-vamp expeditiously.
Prayag Solution
Prayag leveraged its PACKS (Prayag Adaptive Content and Knowledge Services) methodology for developing content and delivering the new website. To start with, the Prayag team participated in intensive briefing sessions that focused on understanding the client's business context, service offerings, domain expertise and brand guidelines.
These inputs were crystallized into a core message to be delivered through the website and collaterals. The PACKS methodology was used to create, implement and manage content through a well defined process.
As website assignments are comprehensive and involve iterations, the re-vamp was executed in close collaboration with the company. Feedback was sought and incorporated at each stage - right from the design, content development to final implementation. Over 80 case studies were also updated to reflect current work.
As part of the website maintenance, Prayag helped the client in search engine optimization and lead generation activities. Acknowledging Prayag's part in building its website and in helping the company extract substantial marketing leverage from the web, the client chose Prayag for its 'Best Partner Award' in 2007.
