Prayag bags the coveted International MarCom Award for the second consecutive year

Prayag Consulting, India's first and leading technology marketing solutions firm, has bagged a Platinum award at the prestigious MarCom Awards 2009. Prayag won the Platinum Award for its work for Cisco Systems. The 2009 win is the second year that Prayag has won at the MarCom Awards - the company won a Platinum and a Gold last year.

MarCom Awards recognize outstanding creative achievement in marketing and communication. This year, there were over 5,000 entries from throughout the world. Some prominent winners in the Platinum category include Fidelity Investments, Costco Wholesale, Cisco Systems, Charles Schwab, Carnegie Mellon University, Lockheed Martin, Merrill Lynch, Randstad, Siemens Healthcare, Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc and Wells Fargo, to name a few.

The award winning entry from Prayag was Human Network calling India, carried out on behalf of its client, Cisco. Cisco launched the global campaign in India in 2008 and a dedicated Human Network portal was set up. Prayag Consulting, an existing Cisco partner, was mandated to customize the portal for India.

For the Human Network Stories engagement, Prayag was responsible for ideating the storyline, interviewing the people and writing out the stories. Each story on the portal brings forward instances where technology has touched the lives of many such people in the most extraordinary ways, transforming the way they interact, and bringing them closer together by alienating distances.

Once the Indian Stories were up on the portal, Cisco then wanted to bring in greater interactivity by asking website visitors to pen their own Human Network stories. Prayag conceptualized the theme, organization and messaging for a flash presentation, which invites users to share their story. The quality of execution for both the stories and the flash presentation helped create the required impact on the target audience.

About the Awards

Every year, the MarCom Awards gets entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. Entries are administered and administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (ACMP). The Association also oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
